Laura Guidry, D.D.S. – Pediatric Dentist

Hi, I am Dr. Laura. I grew up in Eunice, LA, where I went to St. Edmund Catholic School from kindergarten through twelfth grade. After high school I studied biological sciences at LSU in Baton Rouge and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 2005. Next I got really lucky and got accepted into LSU Dental School. It was 2006, a year after Hurricane Katrina, but I was able to begin LSU Dental School by attending classes at the temporary campus in Baton Rouge. Most of my time and my last years of training were spent in New Orleans.

After I earned my DDS in 2010, I got married and we moved to Jackson, Mississippi. I worked in General Dentistry, first as a GPR resident, then in private practice, and finally as an instructor in the DMD program at University of Mississippi Medical Center. In 2016 my family and I returned to New Orleans. With help from some of my dentist friends, I joined Bippo’s Place for Smiles as a general dentist and honed my skills in pediatric operative dentistry. By my fifth year in practice with Bippo’s I was really having fun! I realized that I wanted to specialize in pediatrics. With Bippo’s blessing, I returned to LSU School of Dentistry from 2019-2021 and trained as a resident in pediatric dentistry.

Since July of 2021, I have been working back at the job I love, treating patients for Bippo’s. I am grateful for the opportunity to do something I truly enjoy! I have a loving husband, Ben, and 3 precious children, Jules, Charles, and Valerie. I hope my family and others will witness that I love where I live and the work that I get to do!
